The Motive..

Almost everyday you come across autos fleecing you in this garden city...Treating you as if you were a king, magnanimous to pay whatever sum that they ask ... Today ( Dec - 26 , 2006 ) I too encountered such a stupid auto driver..Thought if something could be done over this.. Complaining to police doesnt make much sense as it gets us into further litigation related troubles.. What if we bloggers note down the auto numbers and post here when we get a taste of this organized crime ??..If the list grows to be a bigone in say one/two years, Anybody can have a printout of this list of erring auto's along with a B'lore routemap before going out to explore this city....Ofcourse I agree that we dont think that much before boarding an auto.. But then, atleast when we are not bound by time constraints, we can be double cautious not to get fleeced....If you are a fellow blogger and wish you can contribute to this, message me at ajithprasadb@gmail.com ...I'll add you to the give editing privileges...Or if you happen to be a victim of this fleecing in Bangalore, mail me a gist of the incident along with the Auto number..I'll put it in this notice board..

I inaugarate the list..

1 . KA-05 8762 ( Profound allergy to put the meter on and demands about two and a halftimes the rate ) ( Added by Ajith )

Let me add my 2 paise.....

Last saturday i caught a rick from M.G Road at around 12.30 in the night. He settled for a "double meter". I was also happy, reached my place on Airport road, i did take him inside, i mean its kind of a long long way. He was willing to come along. Then when it came to paying him off, sadly he whined his meter is not working. i suppose it was a mistake that happened at that moment, i dint think much.. i offered him 100 bucks, coz he was very nice with me. He took me to a place where i could get some ciggies and then all the way through a bad road. kewl, I am content.

This is a good initiative - not sure how practical though .... but in good intentions and I really salute that :)
